Keeping you up to date with important industry news

All of WebCoast's older sites (built 2021 or before) are using Google Analytics Universal Code. Google Analytics 4 is the next-generation measurement solution, and it's replacing Universal Analytics. On July 1, 2023, standard Universal Analytics properties will stop collecting website statistics about your site's traffic.

After July 1, 2023, you'll be able to access your previously processed data in your Universal Analytics property for six months. If your data is important to you, you must export your historical reports during this time.

How to export data from your Universal Analytics property? You can export individual reports into the following formats:

  • CSV
  • TSV
  • TSV for Excel
  • Excel (XLSX)
  • Google Sheets
  • PDF

In the first quarter of 2023, for those sites that are using Universal Analytics code, I will be implementing Google Analytics 4 functionality. The major downfall I have found with GA4 is that monthly reports can no longer be scheduled to be emailed to clients (how annoying!). So, I need to assign you as a user so you have access to be able to view your statistics online. In order to assign you as a user, I'll need an email address which is associated with a Google account. If you have your business registered on Google Maps then it's likely you already have a google account. If not, well, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!
